RAP ARTIST

Lavell Streets, born Dante Fisher, is a rap/hip hop artist, from Bellflower, California. He began rapping and writing lyrics at the age of 11 stemming from a school talent show where he recited lyrics to “The Notorious B.I.G.”  using his own version and additions to the song. The crowd went wild with excitement and Streets has been a student of music ever since. Growing up in Bellflower, he frequently traveled to other nearby cities such as Los Angeles and Long Beach to visit family and friends. This allowed him to build local relationships with other musicians, artists, dancers, and other neighborhood kids in various communities. There were limited music opportunities in Bellflower, so he decided to move to Los Angeles, the “Mecca of entertainment”, after high school to pursue a music career. He immediately took hold of the city flow while making a name for himself in the music industry.   In 2004, Lavell, his cousin, and a close friend, formed the rap group “Procity” where he had the opportunity to tour Northern and Southern California. During this journey with the group, he landed a performance on a popular Los Angeles radio station, Power 106’s, “The Wake-Up Show,” with Sway and King Tech, rapping to a listening audience of millions. As time progressed, Lavell and Procity group members, released multiple projects under “Procity Professional Records”, and gained success with their single “I’m Cool,” including exposure on MTV’s “Suckafree Sunday” landing at the number two spot. Although Streets gained great experience while achieving several accomplishments with Procity, he parted from the group to pursue a solo career. He released his first successful solo project, “Word on The Streets.” Shortly after, he joined forces with another cousin forming the group “BarTenderz”, with the goal of creating a strictly underground hip hop project. BarTenderz achieved local success throughout the Long Beach and Los Angeles underground music scene. The group eventually disbanded when his cousin fell ill. Today, Lavell Streets is back on the music scene focusing on his solo career. He most recently released his debut EP, “The Offering,” and “Under Pressure” streaming on all digital platforms. He’s continuing to work on new music releasing other material such as “Ducked Tape” freestyle project and preparing to release new LP “DuckedOff” stay tuned.
